Davenham's sales team gets a triple boost
Manchester-based Davenham Asset Finance Ltd (Davenham) is undergoing significant growth within just a year of its launch, instigating the promotion of Paul Lovelock from Business Development Manager to Head of Sales, and opening up opportunities for a national sales team with the appointments of Business Development Managers Rebekah Middleton and Stuart Berry.
Having joined Davenham as Business Development Manager in October 2013, Paul Lovelock has been a driving force in seeing the development of a multimillion pound portfolio over the past ten months. As a result of the current pace of growth and with Davenham’s ambitions for the future in place, Paul has been appointed as Head of Sales tasked with creating and developing a national sales team that is capable of delivering the company’s future goals.
Over the next six months, Paul will be responsible for doubling the portfolio and specifically managing the delivery of asset finance solutions between £25,000 to £350,000 from the core products of Refinance, Vehicle finance and Plant & Equipment finance to the ‘near’ and ‘sub-prime’ SME market across the UK.
With over 25 years in the finance sector, Paul brings to the role valuable experience of dealing with broker intermediaries having worked for key players in the market, including Close Asset Finance Ltd and State Securities plc.
Being responsible for creating a national sales team at Davenham, Paul has already recruited two Business Development Managers to the team in the Midlands region to augment the business’s current Northern sales presence looked after by Rachel Davies. These include the appointment of seasoned sales professional, Rebekah Middleton who will cover the East Midlands/East Anglia areas and Stuart Berry who will be joining Davenham in September, as West Midlands & South Wales Business Development Manager.
Paul makes the point “We are fortunate to have two experienced and enthusiastic sales people join Davenham at this point in our growth. Our focus is to deliver flexible commercial asset finance in a fast and professional manner. Both Rebekah and Stuart have established excellent reputations for their sense of urgency and attention to detail.”
Joining Davenham in July, Rebekah came to the business from Close Asset Finance Ltd, bringing with her over ten years of experience in the sector working with brokers. Recently joining from Shawbrook Asset Finance Limited, Stuart has a wealth asset finance experience and has also worked for General Asset Management, Kingsway and Siemens.
Managing Director at Davenham, Paul Burke, comments “I am pleased to announce Paul’s promotion and welcome Rebekah and Stuart to our expanding national team. These appointments come with a wealth of experience and skills to deliver an exceptional service to finance brokers across the Midlands region and throughout the UK.”
As Davenham continues on the path of growth and development, the company is looking to fulfil regional business development positions with experienced and motivated team-players seeking long-term opportunities.
